1. Cookies

Hampton Bays is based in Belgium and therefore follows the Belgian legislation on cookies.

2. Purpose and usefulness of cookies


Hampton Bays wants to inform every visitor to the platform/website as well as possible about their rights under the Belgian legislation on cookies, and about which cookies Hampton Bays uses. 4. Management of cookies


Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser. In order to enable cookies, the following operations must be carried out:

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  • In Internet Explorer, click on 'Internet options' in the 'Tools' menu.
  • On the 'Privacy' tab, move the settings slider to 'low' or 'accept all cookies' (setting above 'medium' disables cookies).
  • Click on 'OK'.


Mozilla Firefox

  • Click on 'Firefox' in the top left corner of your browser and then click on 'Options'.
  • On the 'Privacy' tab, make sure that the 'Let websites know I don't want to be followed' is not ticked.
  • Click on 'OK'.


Google Chrome

  • Click on the three dots next to the browser bar at the top of your browser window and choose 'Options'.
  • Find the 'Privacy and security' section and click on 'content settings'.
  • Click on the 'Cookies' option.
  • Now select 'Allow sites to save and read cookie data'.


Safari

  • Choose 'Preferences' from the task menu. (The task menu is located at the top right of the Safari window and looks like a cog or click 'Safari' in the extended task menu).
  • Click on the Privacy tab. Find the section called 'Cookies and other website information'.
  • Indicate that you accept cookies.

If you wish to consult the Hampton Bays platform/website, it is recommended that you have cookies enabled. However, if you prefer not to, you as a visitor are free to disable cookies via your browser settings. This can be done in the following ways:


Microsoft Internet Explorer

  • In Internet Explorer, select the Tools button and select Internet Options.
  • Select the Privacy tab and under Settings, move the slider up to block all cookies. Click OK.


Mozilla Firefox

  • Click on the menu button and choose 'Preferences'.
  • Select the 'Privacy & Security' panel and go to the 'History' section.
  • In addition to 'Firefox will', set 'Use custom settings for history'.
  • Set 'Accept third-party cookies' to 'Never'.
  • Close the 'about: preferences' page. Any changes you've made will be automatically saved.


Google Chrome

  • Select 'More Settings' from the browser toolbar.
  • Select 'Advanced' at the bottom of the page.
  • Under 'Privacy and security', select the option 'Settings for content'.
  • Select 'Cookies'.
  • Disable 'Allow sites to store and read cookie data'.


Safari

  • Choose 'Preferences' from the task menu. (The task menu is located at the top right of the Safari window and looks like a cog or click 'Safari' in the extended task menu).
  • Click on the Privacy tab. Find the section called 'Cookies and other website information'.
  • Indicate that you do not accept cookies.
  • Or consult the help function of your internet browser.

5. Rights of visitors
Since cookies may constitute a processing of personal data, you as a data subject have the right to the lawful and secure processing of personal data. As a data subject, you can exercise the following rights:

  • Right to object: If there are compelling and justified reasons, you can object to the processing of personal data.
  • Right of access: Any data subject who proves his or her identity has a right of access to the information concerning the existence or non-existence of processing of his or her personal data, as well as the purposes of such processing, the categories of data covered by such processing and the categories of recipients to whom the data are disclosed.
  • Right of rectification: Inaccurate or incomplete personal data may be rectified or even erased at any time at the request of the data subject.
